We've Made Quite A Few Friends Along The Way

A Few Of Our Owners Are Pretty Well Known For More Than Their Taste In Mowers

From country music stars like the legendary Willie Nelson, to professional bull riders and baseball players, Bad Boy Mowers are being used every day on properties of celebrities and owners — just like yours.

Sometimes, we’re even able to bring them all together. At our annual dealer meeting, we get together with our dealers throughout the country to learn a little, celebrate a little and entertain a little. We do all of it in the spirit of growing a stronger dealer family for you. And we’re always especially honored when some of our owners show up with a guitar, band and their legendary playlists.

The Legendary Willie Nelson is a proud Bad Boy Mower owner

Willie Nelson

“I met up with the boys from Bad Boy sometime around 2005, through a mutual friend, Merle Haggard. I’m a big supporter of bio-diesel fuel and they had this Caterpillar diesel mower that was right up my alley. The more I got to know about them and their mowers, the more I liked ‘em. Not long after, around 2009, I had an idea for a music video, and it centered around a Bad Boy-Bad Girl mower race in my little town of Luck, Texas.”

Willie Nelson is as classic and American original as they come. So when he came to us with his idea to invite a few friends over to shoot a video featuring our mowers, we couldn’t have been more excited. We supplied all the mowers he needed, and he and his team took it from there. The cast included Jessica Simpson, Woody Harrelson, Ray Price, Luke and Owen Wilson, Dan Rather and a host of other A-listers that descended on Luck, Texas, for a couple days of shooting.

When “You don’t think I’m funny anymore” was released and featured everywhere from CMT to E-News, Bad Boy Mowers leap-frogged in name recognition, and our dealer base and mower sales really hit stride and took off. And ever since those early days, he’s been “On the road again” featured on our growing fleet of delivery trucks that criss-cross the country. In fact, our tractor-trailer rigs have become so iconic, people ask our drivers if they can get pictures taken with the trucks at stops along their way!

“I get the privilege to see Bad Boy Country everyday when I’m out touring across America. It’s composed of a lot of hardworking folks with a strong work ethic that just want the best for their families—and that’s what Bad Boy Mowers as a company represents for me.”

Merle Haggard 1937-2016

A mower owner since 2007, and our first celebrity endorser, Merle Haggard had been a friend from the start. A legend as one of the last Outlaw singer/songwriters — and passionate about what makes America great — we’ve been honored by his steadfast support. We miss him, but listen for the influence he leaves behind. But mostly, we miss his friendship. Thanks Merle, it’s been a great ride.
